Why did you decide to buy Trifox X16? What was its main selling point? I then received it 3 ½ weeks later, which I was very happy with. Regarding the processing and delivery time, I was told that the frame was ready to ship as soon as I had paid. The customer service kept me updated too. However, I was fully refunded for the initial purchase straight away, and the second payment was exactly the same, so there were no issues there. In truth, there was an apparent admin error with the shipping method when I first ordered the bike, as shortly after, I was asked to cancel the order and then re-order the frame again. It was slightly cheaper there, and I also liked that I could message the company directly on AliExpress. I actually bought the bike from the Trifox store on AliExpress instead of the Trifox website. What was your buying experience at ? How long did it take them to process and deliver the order to your country? Here, I ask Peter a few questions regarding his shopping experience at and why he decided to buy X16. Cycling Monuments Statistics Menu Toggle.Cycling Ground Tours Compared Menu Toggle.Best Bike Trainer Accessories Menu Toggle.Added some short length cable housings to the accessible hatch location below the bottom bracket, as I felt that the current carbon slots were adding unnecessary friction to the shifter cables. Perhaps after adjusting the handlebar shifters, I may go integral. Carbon handlebar, integral to the stem, appears to be well made, integral ports exist for the brakes or shifter cables, I originally tried them however, opted to go external as the strain to the cables seemed excessive. Carbon seat is very light, will have to try it to fully evaluate the item. The plastic frame inserts for the cable entry/exit ports, were easy to remove and install. The cable plastic guides were incorrectly installed for the R and L shifter cables, easy enough to switch around. Headset was clean, and fit very well, no issues experienced. Front fork has a cable support for the disc brake hydraulic line, an addition since Hambini’s review, still not integral though. I did notify TRIFOX regarding the missing wheelset, and patiently await their response….Īs for the bike, threaded bottom bracket is very impressive, alignment is spot on. Considering the price paid, and the condition of the components, I’m ok with the packaging method that TRIFOX used, as I’ve paid for a bike and not necessarily the printed marketing on the exterior of the box, or the professional packaging methods typically incorporated at the customers expense. All components were wrapped thoroughly in a plastic foam roll, and protected the parts within very well, no apparent damage found. The order arrived in a single box, and like every other video out there, the carboard box looked inconspicuous and crushed beyond the normal profile of a box, I was definitely concerned about the integrity of the components within. Order placed April 2, received the bike and some other components May 14. A word of caution, customer service is extremely disappointing, long delays in product shipping and arriving, and thus far, missing some key components – ie wheelset. I completed a quick risk assessment and elected to order the X10 in medium Red/Carbon, despite the risks associated without physically inspecting and dealing with a local bike shop. But the question I keep having needs an aerodynamics expert – for the average rider does aero design add anything at all with these lower power outputs? I have now reverted to round tube titanium bikes with which I can build a bike around 17 lbs. Since the normal rider seldom exceeds 250 watts top output, does aero design actually make any significant gain over the older steel tube bikes with a tube diameter so much smaller? I had a serious concussion about 14 years ago which destroyed a good deal of my memory so I had to start from scratch again learning about bikes again and went through everything from my old Basso Loto to Trek top of the line bikes with those crappy BB90’s. So here is something that the Great Hambini should address. ![]() ![]() But I am passed often enough by younger riders that think that they gain an advantage by aero designs. I have discovered that I cannot tell the difference in climbing between a 20 lb bike and a 16 lb bike. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. This is carried out within the Camera Management menu under the Setup Tab. Our testing took place with one of Aver’s own cameras and a third party ONVIF compliant product.īoth cameras were initially configured using their independent web browsers to set them to the correct network range and then ‘discovered’ on the network via the Aver recorder. With the unit basically configured and connected to our network switch, we were able to add some cameras to the system. Nevertheless, creating and formatting the storage array is a straightforward process. However, we found that our unit also gave options for RAID 5 and the configuration menu varied slightly from that described, suggesting the hardware to be a later version than the manual referred to. Having adjusted the time, date and network settings, next stop is to configure the HDDs within the storage configuration menu.Īccording to the reasonably detailed manual provided on CD, the unit recorder supports RAID 0 and RAID 1. ![]() Under system settings, there are sub-menus for system configuration (language, time, date, firmware etc) network settings and storage. Under the ‘Setup’ tab, a windows tree appears on the left of the screen allowing access to all configuration elements, (system, cameras, alarms, maps, etc.) of the recorder. The Aver GUI is simple to navigate and provides three basic tabs: Setup, Preview and Playback. Upon entering the default username and password, you are presented with the live viewing screen (‘Preview’ on Aver products). There is no installation wizard with Aver machine so the start-up process (which took around a minute) brings you directly to the login prompt. Once the HDDs have been installed (in our case, two 1TB) and a monitor and mouse are connected, the recorder may be powered and configuration can begin. Installation is simplicity itself, open a caddy door, slide in the HDD, close and lock it. Up to four SATA HDDs can be supported internally and the eSATA socket at the rear provides for additional external storage. The E5016H is supplied without any hard drives installed (a seemingly increasing trend these days) so these have to be specified at the time of ordering and installed as part of the configuration process. The remainder of the front is taken up by four lockable HDD caddies. ![]() Connectivity to the front of the unit is limited to two USB sockets for mouse and archiving use plus there are LED indicators for power and recording status. These include two 16-way connectors for analogue cameras (loop-through), a 16-way audio connector, two network connections, VGA and HDMI monitor outputs, eSATA, RS485, alarm inputs/outputs, microphone in/out, a single USB port and an IEC socket for mains power. Most of the connections are made at the rear of the product. The E5016H is a 16 channel hybrid video recorder with capability of up to 16 cameras of either analogue or IP format. Here we’re looking at two products from the Far Eastern manufacturer Aver, a recorder and a camera. ![]() That is, there are official channels to download USP5, as there are official ones to download SP4. There _are_ official channels to acquire this package. The release of this package is done under G's authority, not Microsoft's. The necessary compilation is not authorised by Microsoft, but by G. The actual service-packs (it is at subversion 18 or something) are made, from what can be assumed, leaked copies of the same tools, or work-alike tools, that Microsoft itself uses to make service packs. What is unofficial about it is the assembly of MS fixes into a service pack, with various decisions being made about what fixes to include and which ones to exclude. If you hand-fix something like Windows NT 4 or earlier, you specifically have to go into registry to fix the service pack level.Įsc1010 advances the theory that because USP5 is 'unofficial', that it 'must have trojans and viruses in it'. But looking at the fix-pack level is what fixes do, so if you really need to install something, it won't work unless you can correct the service packs. You can, for example, take Windows XP SP2 and make it pretend it's SP6. I have done this on a number of occasions. Setting the SP level is pretty much a registry setting. While you can slipstream the rollups and later fixes, you can't undo the damage in the rollups, and the non-servicepack slipstream contains a full copy of the original fixes, which are run again over the installation, simply to create the CAT files. Drivers.cab in SP5 removes a lot of dead code that exists in SP4 and earlier: drivers that are no longer referenced anywhere. It corrects errors in rollup 2, by rolling back a fix to an earlier form. First, it includes more than just SP4 + rollups. Like much of this culture, it is an attempt to make things better than the original. Files are specifically checksumed, and one simply can not input what was not pre-signed. The SP5 was done with an unreleased toolset that is very similar to what microsoft uses to produce service packs of that era. I have had a passing role in many installations of SPs and such. I wrote fixes for time zones and for the large-font bug. ![]() You see, BartPE had a crowd of people looking at issues in it. Microsoft waved the Licence/FUD thing when people who had WinPE licences were bitterly complaining that confuring WinPE was much harder than PE, and the resulting product was more expensive. It was better supported, and had a lively community of supporters. In essence, you can make a bootable Windows environment off a wider range of sources (eg XP Home), then the official WinPE (Pro or Server only). Microsoft wasn't even supporting this DOS, but that was the recommended way of doing things. ![]() Until this happened, people were using MS-DOS 6.22 diskettes (that is, something that was 10 years old!) to do this functionality. Windows XP SP2, for examples, supports a 'minint' environment, which can be booted from a cdrom. But in the end, many of these work-alikes have surpassed their original targets, and have in themselves become things to emulate. Much of the free software is expressly 'non-official', in as much as they are work-alikes of commercial packages. Were everything of this nature, then it pretty much would not be save to download any freeware, or in fact, any software from the internet, commercial or otherwise. I am generally rather disappointed by comments that because it is 'not official', that it 'must be full of trojans and viruses'. It is sometimes helpful to plot the function. Root is, as far as I know, not really meant to find roots, it's much more an abstract representation of the n th root of an equation, much like sin ( 10) does make sense on its own, without evaluating it to an explcit number. Determine roots of the equation x3 2 x2 - x - 2 0 using the Solve, Nsolve. According to that article, there is a systematic approach to finding a functional square root that involves solving Schröder's equation though I don't know what procedure to apply. FindRoot, one of the functions you used, solves numerically only, iterating Newton's method until sufficiently accurate. Mathematicas help says that in this case FindRoot does. ![]() ![]() A functional square root of a function $g$ is another function $f$ such that $g=f\circ f$. equation has two roots, only one of which is the solution of the initial equation, why the other. |
